Alli graduated from Oberlin College with degrees in Biology and Economics, and was awarded the Nexial Prize for “interdisciplinary research aspirations.” She led health coalitions, conducted disease ecology and cardiovascular disease research, and represented Oberlin at a reproductive rights roundtable with former US Vice President Kamala Harris. As a Watson Fellow, she researched the intersection of HIV and gender-based violence and the experiences of HIV peer counsellors in Zambia, worked in a rural paediatric hospice in South Africa, and surveyed the reproductive health of migrant garment workers and refugees in Jordan. She is a co-founder of The Khushtaar Initiative, a non-profit that aims to strengthen healthcare access mechanisms for Indian women from minority communities.
She hopes that studying Global Health Science & Epidemiology at Oxford will help her channel her commitment to health justice towards supporting vulnerable communities worldwide. .
