Valeria Colunga is an international consultant, advocate, and social entrepreneur from Monterrey, Mexico. She is a value-first leader motivated by mission-driven impact and collaborates closely with high-level stakeholders in international development. She currently works with Southern Voice, a network of 71 Global South think tanks, where she supports the Executive Director in planning and implementing strategic development. Valeria also serves on Girl Up’s Global Board, where she advises on girl-centered leadership development initiatives reaching more than 340,000 youth in 155 countries. In the past, Valeria represented Mexico in the G20’s Y20 Summit in India and contributed policy proposals for the Executive Office of the UN Secretary-General during her appointment as a United Nations Foundation Next Generation Fellow. Valeria holds a B.A. in International Relations and Global Studies and a B.A. in Latin American Studies from The University of Texas at Austin.
