Sophia is a medical doctor from Nepal. She graduated with multiple gold medals from Tribhuvan University, Nepal. Currently, she works as the Technical Specialist in the COVID-19 Emergency Response Team for the USAID-supported EpiC Project at FHI360. She worked as the frontline medical doctor during the COVID-19 pandemic and served people from different backgrounds in the remotest part of the country. She has experience working closely with government and international agencies at federal, provincial, and local levels on health planning and coordination. After Oxford, she intends to work towards the goal of universal coverage of health ensuring qualitative and equitable health access to all the people in her country.
