Saadia is currently the Director of Dastaan Films and a PhD candidate at Warwick University. She is also the Editorial Cartoonist for The Nation, Pakistan. She headed the Opinions section of a national Pakistani daily The Nation from 2014 to 2017.

She is the Co-Founder of Project Dastaan, a peace-building initiative which examines the human impact of global migration through the lens of the largest forced migration in recorded history, the 1947 Partition of India and Pakistan. Using oral histories of survivors from Partition it reconnects these survivors to their ancestral homes across the India-Pakistan-Bangladesh borders using VR and other new technologies. She has an MA in International Political Economy from Warwick University (2009). She has worked with various news outlets since 2010 including The Nation, Arab News and Independent.

Saadia is based in London, UK.
