Since completing her MSc, Onthatile made the transition from clinical practice to clinical trials in the Pharmaceutical, Nutraceutical space. She is currently a Medical Trials Manager at Atlantia Clinical Trials in Ireland.

Since graduating from Oxford, she has pursued the HIV/AIDS and global health field conducting HIV-related research in resource-limited settings and pursuing a career as a dedicated Clinical Trials Research Physician overseeing diverse therapeutic treatments, with a special focus on contributing to drug and vaccine development success.

Onthatile is a medical doctor from Botswana and completed her BSc Pre-Med program at the University of Botswana where she was selected to deliver a speech on “Youth Perspective on Urbanization” at the launch of the 2007 annual “State of the World” Report hosted by UNFPA and UNDP Botswana. In 2013 she graduated in Medicine with a MBChB Degree from the University of the Free State, in South Africa. During her time there, she was actively involved in community health programs and was a student tutor at the School of Medicine. Due to her achieving, both academic and extra-curricular excellence as an undergraduate student she received the Golden Key Honour Society chapter award in 2011 and was a runner-up to the Kovsie Dux student award in 2013.

Onthatile is currently based in Cork, Ireland.
