Savitri is currently working as the Deputy Collector at the Government of Jharkhand, India. She is an experienced researcher with a demonstrated history of working in higher education. She is highly skilled in leading several projects, including establishing and running a newly founded Math and Science Centre at her university.

Savitri graduated from Asian University for Women in Bangladesh in 2015 with a degree in Environmental Science. The undergraduate study provided her with the opportunity to undertake a wide variety of courses and research projects within the field of environmental science. Her research study ‘The Usefulness of Biogas in Managing Organic Waste in India and Bangladesh’ illustrated that biogas is an important potential source of energy and is able to significantly reduce the impacts of climate change by limiting the emission of methane gas into the atmosphere.

Savitri has also worked as a student consultant for a food processing company, where her group developed recommendations to improve waste management procedures within the manufacturing plant.

Savitri is based in Dhanbad, Jharkhand, India.
