Saltanat is a Regional Evaluation Advisor for UNDP, Turkey. Previously she was a Regional Evaluation Specialist for UNICEF, Kazakhstan.

Saltanat completed her MSc (2008) and transferred to an MPhil (completed in 2009) in Comparative Social Policy as a Weidenfeld Scholar before undertaking her DPhil, starting in 2009.

Before coming to Oxford, she worked as a Project Assistant for Social Policy Reform, Child Protection, Research, Monitoring and Evaluation Projects at the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
