Nsuku is passionate about the development of sustainable water strategies and the improvement of water management at local to international levels.

Before Oxford, she was an Environmental Officer in the Coal Mining Industry, managing environmental risks related to water, land, air quality, waste and legal compliance. Five months after she completed her master’s in Water Science, Policy and Management, she started a new role as a programme officer (Strategic Water Sector Cooperation Officer) for the Water Sector Programme between Denmark and South Africa at the Embassy of Denmark in South Africa. Her goal is to grow in the water sector working on impactful projects and playing an influential role in the sector.

She is currently a Principal Hydrologist for Thungela Resources, based in Gauteng, South Africa.

Nsuku is also a poet and an aspiring writer and hopes to use her creative skills to better communicate the issues she is passionate about.

Upon my return from Oxford, I sought out a role where I can make a difference in the water sector. Working as part of the Denmark-South Africa water sector programme is an opportunity I am excited about, having started in March 2021. My WHT and Oxford experience helped to clarify my passions about water to focus on the policy and governance of water in addition to the water science background I had.
