In 2013, Luciana graduated as Lawyer from Torcuato Di Tella University in Buenos Aires, Argentina, receiving the Gold Medal and the Buenos Aires City Bar Association’s Excellence Award. She has worked as Law Clerk at Argentina’s National Public Ministry, drafting legal opinions in cases in which fundamental rights and principles are at stake, such as non-discrimination, freedom of expression, access to information, legality, and separation of powers. In this capacity, she was able to influence courts in relevant cases concerning, for example, affirmative actions to remedy gender discrimination in access to employment, structural discrimination in the provision of public services against residents of disadvantaged neighbourhoods, and violations to the right to education of vulnerable groups such as students with disabilities and prison inmates. In the past, she has volunteered and worked as a Lawyer and Research Assistant at several human rights NGOs, including the Americas Division of Human Rights Watch. In addition to her work as Law Clerk, she taught Introduction to Law at Torcuato Di Tella University and, previously, was a Teaching Assistant of Logic and Legal Writing and of Criminal Law. Luciana also co-directed the Latin American Journal of International Law, founded and run by Di Tella alumni.
