Kristina is a policy advisor at the European Investment Bank. After completing her PhD at Oxford, she embarked on a journey across the international development landscape. She has worked for the World Bank Group and as Head of Unit at the Ministry of Finance of Slovakia in charge of development cooperation.

Currently, Kristina is the Representative in Lebanon at the European Investment Bank (EIB). She is based in Beirut, Lebanon.

WHT has helped me recognize the importance of staying engaged with my country but also acting as a champion for European integration. After my stint at Slovakia’s Ministry of Finance, I represented my country at the Board of the World Bank and then transitioned to the European Investment Bank where I seek to ensure that investments help foster social inclusion and impact. I take a special interest in regional disparities and organize a biannual bicycle trip, “Vandrovka”, around Slovakia’s lagging regions to bring together young leaders inside and outside the country for debates with mayors on inclusive development.
