Having graduated with an MSc degree in Nature, Society and Environmental Governance, from the School of Geography and the Environment at the University of Oxford Bivishika, has over five years of professional experience in her home country Nepal, leading social enterprises to create employment opportunities for hundreds of women, founding body and SRHR advocacy projects and leading environmental advocacy campaigns, including making Chitwan National Park plastic-free.

Bivishika’s passion and expertise lie in the nexus of women’s empowerment, livelihoods building and the social dimensions of climate change in the development sphere. Currently, she is working as a Gender and Social Inclusion (GESI) Specialist at World Wildlife Fund for Nature (WWF) Nepal. Prior to that, she was a Junior Researcher in the Red Cross Red Crescent Climate Center (RCCC), contributing to the research on Climate and Health in Asia with a focus on livelihoods and SRHR in Afghanistan, Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal and Pakistan.

Bivishika is currently based in Kathmandu, Nepal.
