Maya Sherman is a Senior AI Researcher, Lecturer, and Ethicist, advising governments, multilateral institutions, and civil society on how AI reshapes societies, economies, and power.
Currently AI Literacy Project Co-lead at the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence (GPAI), OECD, and former Israel's Innovation Attaché in India — her work bridges policy rooms and farming villages, UN summits and rural field programmes, reaching 20,000+ people in India's informal sector.
Her research on AI ethics, disinformation, and the sociocultural dimensions of emerging technology has been published in Routledge, SUNY Press, Oxford University Press, and Frontiers.
Named Phenomenal SHE 2026, Google’s Women Techmaker Ambassador and among the Global Women of Distinction 100. Advisory board member across responsible AI organisations in Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas. Maya holds a BA in Government, Diplomacy, and Strategy from the Interdisciplinary Center Herzliya (IDC) and a MA in Cyber Politics from Tel Aviv University.
